Comments
Comments: Car shuttled in order to go up Chippewa and down Black Mountain. Beautiful day! Napped in the sun for a couple hours on the summit.

It was a spikes on-spikes off-spikes on-spikes off kind of day/trail. Besides very beginning and very end, Chippewa was mostly snow/ice-free. Black Mountain Trail was probably 3/4 covered with snowpack/ice. Spikes were definitely necessary for those spots (especially with dog attached to you), but no need for snowshoes or anything else.
