Comments: Hancock Notch trail by way of Sawyer River trail

The snow right now is amazing. It might be good enough on the footpath for skiing. On the old rail bed, people have brought their sleds out in the past week or so, and so things are rock-solid underfoot, with an inch or so of softer snow on top. Pick your means of traction -- this might even be fine with just YakTrax. Getting to the rail bed, the trail was nicely tramped out. End to end, footing was fantastic.

Photos on my blog as per usual.
