It was a day with no views and before a bigger hike tomorrow so this is a great trip for a couple of hours. Summits do offer bare ledges so I'll have to come back when it's clear. Snow and the oak leaves that were in spots got stuck on my microspikes requiring constant cleaning. Only one spot on the Middle Mountain Trail was too icy for Microspikes, 6-10 feet of glissading got me by that spot. |
