parked at winter parking lot for sawyer river road which is well plowed. |

sawyer river road packed hard by snowmobiles and various types of foot traffic. a light coating of new snow falling this morning. signal ridge trail packed hard with light coating of new snow on top. some minor postholing and rough spots to where i left the trail at the first re route that switchbacks up and away from the brook. i headed up on a direct line to the summit in open moderately graded woods with rock hard supportive snow all the way to the recognized highpoint. returned the same way. |
