Hiking Trail Conditions Report
Peaks
Peaks Potato Hill (Stratford), NH
Trails
Trails: Tetu Road, bushwhack
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Saturday, March 14, 2020
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Large parking area on Tetu Rd approx 500'off Bog Brk. Rd. Initially tried to find a shorter route from the N by following Bog Brook Rd. to Christie Rd to Perham Rd. Plowed Perham Rd. narrows considerably at a bridge crossing over East Branch Bog Brook. At this point the bw would have been less than 1 mile. We decided against this route because it would have required a brook crossing south of this point.

Comments
Comments: Wearing microspikes, walked up snomoed Tetu Rd to 1400' where we started the bw in low flotation snowshoes. Initially started in a clearcut with an unsupportive crust then changed course and headed for the wide open hardwoods where the crust was fully supportive. Bee lined for the summit. Summit bump easy to find however there is no register, just 2 strings hanging from a tree.
Scratchy bump to the W of the summit can be easily avoided by circling a bit to the N.
bw surface conditions - fully supportive surface - no breaking whatsoever with low flotation snowshoes
vegetation density - wide open hardwoods
grades - always easy
