Hard packed trail with plenty of ice (sadly, no chance for a glissade); above treeline, had ice, and snow with icy crust. Microspikes ok down low, and ok above Thunderstorm junction, but crampons definitely the preferable way to go on the tricky and exposed sections.
Gorgeous day, with hardly a hint of a breeze.
Look out for the tricky junctions coming down Lowe's; it's very easy to take The Link by mistake (as someone from another party did, we think). |
