Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction, Snowshoes

Comments
Comments: I followed the alltrails apple map to get to the trailhead and shouldn't have done that! Follow the google maps map if you use alltrails. The apple map takes you to the old, now defunct trail.

The current parking area is a little over a mile from the trailhead but it is a very pleasant walk to where the trailhead starts. There was logging going on near the parking area. I was surprised at the number of people out on the trail today; though it was a beautiful day.

The monorail was very stable but it was very cold while I was hiking. It looks like a few warm days will really impact that monorail and I suspect that it will be more difficult to hike in microspikes soon. I did not wear snowshoes at all today and was fine in my microspikes.
