| Comments: |
We used microspikes until about 3/4 mile before the summit, where steep terrain with a somewhat icy crust made crampons much more secure. We never used our snowshoes, because there was no loose powder and the trail was very solid. Climbing conditions above treeline were good other than a few feet of ice over bare rock here and there. Beautiful day, finished my Winter 48! |
