Comments
Comments: A popular trail for social distancing today. :-) Great fast conditions with hard pack ice and snow starting after the trail leaves the logging road and thick granular snow after the first (unbridged) crossing at the 1.5 mi point. On the spur path to the Bald Peak ledges the ice was tricky in a few spots but doable. Ledges clear and beautiful as always.

We donned spikes way too soon on ascent - almost immediately - but should have waited til closer to the first crossing as it was mostly hard dirt with avoidable ice. Sunglasses car to car and great view clear through to Killington’s slopes. Minimal wind too. Hoping we can do some weekday sojourns during this crazy Coronavirus shutdown time.
