 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The lowest crossing of Drakes Brook was difficult. Snow bridges were deteriorating quickly and were unstable. Water was running higher than most rocks, and the ones above the water were coated with ice. One of our group took a swim. The rest of us just got wet feet. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A couple of crawl-unders on Drakes Brook. |

 | Comments: |
Sandwich Mountain Trail started with some ice, and did have several sections of steep icy patches. In general, however, the trail was a beautiful, smooth, hardpacked sidewalk. There was a smattering of postholes, generally off-trail, closer to the summit. Drakes Brook Trail for the descent was fast and smooth. It's quick hiking out there. Beautiful conditions and with temps still cold enough in the mountains to keep trails firm. Looking forward to a couple more weeks of beautiful conditions. |
