Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the pull off just before the summer TH parking. I pulled too far off the road and got stuck when I was leaving. Combination of baldish tires, really wet snow and bad luck. Big thanks to Eli and his son in their Rubicon for using the winch to pull me out. He was super stoked to use the winch, I was thankful he drove by. Gotta play that Karma wheel

Comments
Comments: Tough day managing my body temperature along with the moisture falling from the sky. Started in the snow til about I hit the steeps. Then to sleet on East and rain for the rest of the day. The trail was in great shape today, I don’t think I post hold once (260 with a pack). The steeps were ruthless but offered surprising grip in micro spikes. The trail between the summits is equally as packed out.

I imagine things will change once we get back to the cold this weekend. There is some substantial ice below today’s snow and ice that will present problems, mostly on the steeps. Be careful.
