 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
i parked on north groton road right at the start of the romley-remick road. given the road down to the summer trailhead is not drivable right now i saw no reason not to block it. enough room to get completely off the road. a gentelman who drove by and chatted briefly suggested being completely off the road was important as the local police took notice. |

 | Comments: |
fairly good snow cover on the romley-remick road. north groton had long sections of bare ground. high pasture had decent snow coverage. the south facing trail up bald knob had bare ground with patches of snow and some ice higher up. snow returned around the summit and down to the saddle with crosby then notable bare ground to the summit of crosby. upper beeline had good snow then a very patchy section until it entered the logged woods. ok snow from there back to romley-remick and the trailhead. as noted in zporters report snowshoes were great where there is snow. i gather a lot melted over 24 hours as the bare ground was pretty significant in spots today and rough if trying to keep shoes on. i expect that will be even more the case after friday. |
