Started off the road walk in the morning with a HUGE bald eagle flying over head. Must be good eating around there. Trail was solid for most of the day but there are definitely some weak spots, even in snowshoes. Bunnel Notch was a PITA But the rest of the climb was decent until the viewpoint. The section between the summit and the cabin is chewed up from warm weather. Summit area is a maze of random trails, pick your poison. After submitting, I made great time and hustled out to the quiet logging sites along the road. |
