Easy to jump across creeks. There was a couple creeks with snow bridges. I couldn't tell if there was a structure under the snow, and I was able to walk across today; but if the weather continues to warm, I would recommend caution. |

| Comments: |
Packed snow below treeline. Once above treeline, removed microspikes to cross snow-free rock faces up to summit. Beware of icy patches near the peak especially on descent. You could see postholes when hikers veered slightly off the packed trail, but today was colder so we weren't postholing.
We came across a bear today within the first mile or so of the hike! It ran off as soon as it saw us. It was the biggest bear I'd ever seen (I haven't seen many), my fellow hiker thought it might have been a yearling. |
