| Comments: |
Most of the slippery scrambles are below where the trail diverges for Webster and Jackson. The route is well-packed all the way up to Jackson, snowshoes were not needed. Just below the summit of Jackson there are large, icy boulders to climb, an ice axe could help. The route from Jackson across to Webster was much less broken in and has lots of vegetation, snowshoes are recommended here. Tracks were visible but it might be harder to find the way after the next good snowfall. Descent from Webster was a bit less packed than Jackson, snowshoes serve better but you can make do with spikes. |
