No issues on Mt. Clinton Rd. lot. Saw a moose on 302 about a mile before the lot. |

Most trails in good shape. A short section near the top of Jewell is a bit brushy. A number of good sized walk-arounds and step-overs on the bottom half mile of Jewell. Boundary Line Trail sign knocked over. |

Hannah had a great day - no real issues with the terrain or conditions, and plenty of water and snow to keep cool. |

Started in microspikes which worked great until the Webster Cliff junction, then barebooted the rest of the hike. Spring snow and messy monorail headed down from Pierce, but starting around the Eisenhower Loop junction, the trails above treeline were completely dry, with the exception of some small snowfields around Washington. We hiked slightly under pace to Washington, so we did some exploring and red-lined some trails just south of Washington. Jewell Trail was messy below treeline - typical soft spring hole with a crumbling monorail, and a bit tricky to follow down low with all the blowdowns. Saw just a few hikers up to Monroe, then plenty of backcountry skiers around Monroe and Washington.
