we parked at the junction of river road and mercier road in pittsburg. room to park at the start of mercier without causing any problems as of yesterday. the snowmobile trail is just across river road. |

we walked the snowmobile trail south to a point northwest of the summit to start the bushwhack. sloppy wet snow and thin cover on the snomo trail. a narrow and busy corridor so not the best for snowshoeing. mostly supportive snow and open logged woods all the way to the summit and recognized highpoint. we returned in our tracks. |
