Peaks Prospect Mountain (Pittsburg), NH

Trails: Cohos Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Saturday, March 7, 2020
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: we drove in danforth road in pittsburg to its end where it splits in to two driveways. room to park one car at this fork as of yesterday. the trail, which follows danforth road, enters the woods a short distance up the left branch. most of danforth was well maintained, if getting a bit muddy, but the last portion appears to be privately maintained and was quite icy in spots and has one steep pitch. lower clearance and 2wd would likely want to find parking farther down and walk the road.

Comments
Comments: the cohos trail had no signs of recent use, but given the supportive snow it was a quick hike up to the summit of prospect. the trail mostly follows an old woods road for the ascent and isn't marked, or the markers are buried in snow, much of the way. descended the same route.
