we parked on the side of rt. 3 in pittsburg just north of big brook bog road in one of a number of nearby plowed in areas. |

big brook bog road had a packed snowmobile track as well as tracks from a number of snowshoers. after the first camp we turned up hill and enjoyed wide open woods, moderate grades and supportive snow all the way to the summit and recognized highpoint. returned in our tracks. |
