The reports leading up to today were so hit or miss, it was difficult to make a choice and after having been out in Lincoln Woods 3 times over the past 5 weeks ... it was tempting to head elsewhere. I would like to send a big THANK YOU to all who recently climbed the Owl as your reports were SPOT ON! Your suggestion to get out and grab it while conditions were ideal was so appreciated. We were on trail by 8ish and back to the lot by 3:30. Conditions were perfect all day and we preferred to be in microspikes all day. We did see some in spikes and others in snowshoes. The afternoon sun didn't make for a mashed potato mess, thankfully! If you need a winter Owl, get out there!! |
