Comments
Comments: The wife and I decided to stop for a quick, easy hike on the way home from a trip to Vt. The Winslow Trail that we used to ascend the mountain was anything but easy. The middle third of the trail contains a long section, perhaps 300' or more, of steep and continuous ice flow. We bushwhacked much of the worst section, and both felt vulnerable in a couple of spots wear our spikes were just marginal when we stayed on, or crossed over the flow. Personally, I would not repeat this trail in it's present condition without full crampons. The remainder of the hike was a solid highway, perfect for spikes, including the entire Barlow Trail.
