Terrific morning. Trail is very firm due to cold temps but when warms up will easily posthole. I used a splitboard. Top pitch, I had to use splitboard crampons to prevent sliding backwards. Came across 2 skiers who were heading down at the outlook due to backsliding. Saw a couple trail runners jogging up/down the trail. Saw a couple other small groups. Outstanding views from the top, as usual!!! The descent via ski trails was extremely icy. Top run was completely wind-blown ice - those years riding Cannon provided good practice. |
