Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking lot was 1/4 full when I arrived. Almost full when I left.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Ice - Black, Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Wet/Slippery Rock, Ice - Breakable Crust, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Spring Snow, Slush

Recommended Equipment: Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Just a few spots on the lower part of Cascade Link Trail. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Picked up a few fallen branches. One small, leaning tree on lower Cascade Link Trail needs to be cut up.

Comments
Comments: Beautiful blue bird day (I seem to get a few of these.) Windy on top, as you might expect, but only donned goggles for a short time when my eyes watered too much. Trails were nearly clear of snow/ice below. Above mostly packed snow and some ice. Western part of Pumpelly had more ice, as did the upper part of Cascade Link, as one might expect, given the copious water that trail routes on occasion.

Original plan was to hike Mt Jefferson; the wind forecast 50-70mph for 6+ miles above treeline was for a hike above my paygrade. ;-) Then the plan was to hike a wind-shielded Mt Liberty, but my last co-hiker bailed due to an injury. Decided to stay local rather than invest 4 hours driving to hike Mt Liberty for the 5th time in winter.
