 | Comments: |
Cross country trails were mixed bare ground, ice and solid snow. Once on the Overlook Trail off the XC ski trails it was post holed but still firm. I bare booted until just after the waterfall as the snow was getting softer in the late morning sun. Snowshoes stayed on until the sidehill dropping down to the brook on the lower Brook Trail. There were a few boney sections but overall decent snowshoeing. Lots of ice on the Brook Trail where the skier traffic had scraped off all the snow. Nice views and minimal crowds today at Gunstock. Ski trails were very soft in the sun. |
