i parked at the drivable end of forbes mountain road in danbury in a well plowed out area. this is shortly below the gate. some misleadingly placed "posted" signs could look like they apply to the road, but they do not. |

small brook at blown out drainage was a straight forward rock hop. |

softest snow of the hike was from the parking to the log landing a couple minutes up beyond the gate. here i turned right and briefly downhill to cross the brook then continued up on the summit road with mostly supportive snow. a few bare spots and areas of thin cover as well as some wet sticky snow where it was in the sun. near boiler plate on the final ascent to the summit. |
