Comments
Comments: Bare-booted to the falls, switched to micros to go up through the falls, icy in spots, kept them on the rest of the day, snowshoes had a pack ride. Trail well packed, solid, a little granular on top. Hiked to the cut off to the piper and followed a post hole trail to Little Sister (the bump closest to Chocorua) Snow was solid enough to hold me up. Whoever went up first really knew the trail, I often lose the trail going up in winter. Spectacular day, big sun, minimal wind. Worth catching this one before things change.I love the view of Chocorua cone from this spot in winter. Frozen falls were exceptional as well.
