Mcrospikes were fine, but I almost wish I had my Hillsound Trail Pro nearer the top. Where the trail starts getting steep there been a lot of butt sliding which has really smoothed out the trail and it's rock solid.
Only was going as far as the junction with Scar Ridge Trail for redlining. Never found the actually sign at the junction because the snow drift was so thick, the trail disappeared. According to my GPS I was just about standing on it, and with the amount of snow, I may have been.
While I was hiking the DOT plows went by pushing the snow banks back and buried the trailhead sign. I shoveled it out. |
