Comments
Comments: From vehicle we walked through a gate and followed a plowed road for a short while until we met a snomo trail. We stayed on the snomo trail until it veered off and we continued NW on a logging road. Approx 1 mile from the vehicle, in front of a camp, we took a right at a fork. We followed blue blazes for a short while before directing ourselves NE to the summit. We arrived at the summit from the SW after passing on ledges with excellent views to the West. Recognized summit easy to find at a prominent bump. We returned from the summit at 9:30am, and already all southerly facing slopes(bw and logging roads) exposed to the sun were getting mushy and causing constant postholing with snowshoes.
breaking conditions on logging road and bw - on ascent, max depth of only 2-4" but very annoying supportive/unsupportive conditions where you think the surface is supportive but you suddenly punch through when you shift your weight.
grades - for all tastes: mostly easy, some moderate, a few steep pitches.
vegetation density - mostly open woods, occasional scratchy stuff, sprucy areas were easily crossed due to fairly supportive surface
