Comments
Comments: Road was packed by snowmobiles, skiers and hikers. Zealand Trail was well-packed until the open areas near the ponds, then frequently blown in and drifted. Twinway was well-packed between the hut and Zeacliff viewpoint but largely blown in with many deep drifts from there to the Zealand summit spur which was also drifted. We wore spikes to the hut then snowshoes from there to the summit. Skiing looked perfect on the Zealand Trail. Group of 7 is headed across Zealand and the Bonds to Lincoln Woods from the hut tomorrow.

Great hike with Chris and Renee in dramatic weather. Zealand gave Chris 47/W48! 45 years ago (1975) on this date, I completed my NH winter 4K'ers. (46 in those days).
