Comments
Comments: Wildcat ski area closed for season, so alternatives to Polecat available. Though bare spots are showing up, there is still top to bottom snow coverage depending upon the route. Monorail on Wildcat Ridge Trail - we quickly had to switch to snowshoes, as it wasn't firm enough for barebooting beyond D. Monorail still 2-6 feet deep. Woods still generally covered in feet of snow, though some areas with direct sunlight are starting to melt out. Heard from another hiker that the Wildcat Ridge Trail up from Carter Notch is difficult to follow right now. Unfortunately, someone decided to go to the bathroom on the highpoint of Wildcat A. Nasty.
