Snowshoes on trail all day. I stayed on the east side of the Little River in between the first and second water crossings on both the ascent and descent. After the turnoff for the Fire Wardens Trail, the herd path hadn't been broke out for awhile. There's some stepovers, step-arounds, and snow-laden, low hanging branches and trees. Skiers came through during the day and packed the trail down nicely between the trailhead and Fire Wardens. Above the second water crossing, snow is still unconsolidated and would require snowshoes. |
