Comments
Comments: Thank goodness some intrepid soul(s?) had ventured out after the big dump.
Follow the RIGHT trail on the Engine Hill BW (the one going UP). We followed the left track and were treated to lots of snow being dumped down our backs/necks while pushing through the soft woods. We returned following the better (higher) track. Much more open.
About 1/2 up Rocky Branch, snow becomes unconsolidated, so snow shoes are still the way to go, IMHO. Three others were on their way to Isolation, and they were in snow shoes also.
Great conditions/weather for this peak yesterday.
