We started by walking about 1/2 mi on the road, before starting up on a woods road. We followed this up to a point not far from the col and began to cut towards the ridge up to Errol Hill. We returned in our tracks to the woods road and worked our way to the north bump on Mill. As we turned up towards the summit, we encountered some thick snow-loaded woods and blowdown. From the recognized highpoint, we descended a bit and slabbed towards the south peak, knowing that the woods along the ridge were poor. As we cut up towards the southpeak, we encountered some fairly thick woods. All three highpoints are recognized. Snow was 8-12 in powder over a mainly supportive base. |
