Comments
Comments: Crawford Path was packed near solid from a hiker dragging a sled up. We wore snowshoes all day which were perfect as we did not have to stop and switch out a bunch of times - lots of low hanging branches from bent-over frozen trees. Lots of drifting in the alpine zone, prior tracks a bit hard to see from the Eisenhower cutoff but cairns are still discernible.

All tracks ended about 20ft after the summit - just a heads up: our tracks WILL get you down to the Mizpah Hut.. but with more or less a bushwhack in several areas! Came down a bit left of the blowdown leading to the hut, a bit slick on the descent, but what fun romping through 12+ inches of fluffy powder!!

Followed 1 set of snowshoe tracks from the Hut back along the Mizpah Cutoff, obviously more broken out now. There are tracks continuing South along the AT toward Jackson - completely unsure of how far they actually go, we did not follow.

Lots of spikes and barebooters headed up at 10:30am as we descended out still on snowshoes, all in all.. fantastic day breaking trail and navigating/bushwhacking through the woods!

Cheers! Happy climbing!
