 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Ravine Rd is plowed all the way, as is the lower branch at the fork (service rd); I parked at the angled parking before the second gate, about 1 mile in, adding about 3/4 mile to the hike each way; a few cars were parked at the fork (and a few at the end of the road); the service rd leads directly to the trail between the first two bridges |

 | Comments: |
The trail was fairly well packed until about a mile below the summit; there were deep drifts completely covering the track between the southeast dome and the main summit dome. There is avoidable hard ice on the summit dome; given the modest slopes it is not an issue. No views from the summit this morning, but a gorgeous day in the woods. The trampers I saw were divided about 50-30-20 among snowshoes, boots, and skis. The trail should be fabulous Sunday. |
