Comments
Comments: We hiked up the Sawyer River Trail for 1.3 miles, then cut into the woods just past the Meadow Brook bridge, crossing the southern end of the marshy area that had a great view of Carrigain and Signal Ridge. We went in a straight line eastward, picking up the ridge, then followed the ridge to the 2 high points, though one is clearly higher than the other. A few inches of fresh, almost sticky snow in the lower elevations, 6-7 inches of fluff higher up. Mostly open woods with one scratchy and steep area. We followed our tracks out and when we got back to the trail, the trail groomer had come by, making for a nice walk out. Thanks to Andrew B. for a great day.
