Full snow cover still, even after yesterday's rain (and slight snowfall; more snowfall at elevation apparently).
No ice on the trail, as the snowpack absorbed the rain. The most recent barebooter left a bunch of postholes (and now everyone else is stuck with this carnage); SNOWSHOES are needed to not posthole. SNOWSHOES were ideal this morning. Snowpack off trail was also supportive of SNOWSHOES. |
