Comments: A beautiful day in the Whites! After a easy few miles on the Jefferson Notch Road snowmobile trail, we turned left at Jefferson Notch to bushwhack to Mt. Dartmouth. Nice open woods for the most part, with a few areas of blowdowns and dense spruce. We'd attempted this peak last weekend and turned around due to fading light, so we had a bit of a path to follow for the first section, albeit mostly buried by last week's snow. Past the semi-broken path, the snow was deep and unconsolidated — it was slow going in snowshoes, and completely impassable without them. However, that didn't stop us from summiting! This was first time the Dartmouth Outing Club has summited its eponymous mountain in eight years, at least according to the summit register. All in all, an amazing day. TOR!
