 | Comments: |
It was a beautiful bluebird day on the high summits. Airline was broken out. Some drifts past Gulfside going up to Adams. Some drifts on Gulfside heading to the hut. Some drifts going up to Madison from the hut. Some ice on the rocks, all manageable. With the warm temps, the snow was clumping, was very soft like sand, and easy to posthole. We wore snowshoes up Airline to tree line; switched to spikes up to Adams, over to the hut, and up Madison. Switched back to snowshoes at the hut for the trip down Valley Way. It was an amazing day. |
