Comments
Comments: Greely Ponds trail was wet, muddy with unstable snow monorail. Osceola Trail was an unstable monorail then changing to wet ice up the steeps to East Peak. The ice was soft enough, so we stayed in microspikes. Coming off East Peak going to Main peak- the monorail is a mess. The chimney was free of ice, just wet. Great views from Main peak. Tough going overall with the elevated temperatures causing snow to rot. We stayed in light traction for the majority of the hike. Overall, ugly trail conditions.
