Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We parked in the residential area at the plowed area for the undeveloped cul-de-sac. It’s a straight plow spot and only wide enough for one car, but long enough for a few. I would not recommend parking at the plow pile unless you want to risk someone coming after you and blocking you in. We pulled in but just enough to get off the road.

Comments
Comments: Forecast was for a cold and windy day, but with our late start the temps were above 0 and stayed that way. Down low it was actually warm and quite comfortable. The wind arrived in the ridge and was consistent on the summit.

Amazing 360 degree views! Crystal clear.

The trail had unpacked powder over the monorail (couple of inches maybe) on Stony Brook. On the ridge, the drifts made for some real powdery spots. The three of us and one other in front of us all wore snowshoes and packed it down well. The ridge will need a bit more work to form a solid monorail.
