Started with snowshoes but switched to spikes as I was having trouble getting grip on the trail with my non-hiking specific snowshoes. Trail was in good shape and held up well through the day. Almost all hikers wore spikes with a few snowshoes. A few holes post holes opened up on the right side coming down from Starr King later in the day but as long as you stayed in the center it held up well. Beautiful day in the mountains. |
