Comments
Comments: We broke trail with snowshoes after the storm dumped snow yesterday. Was a easy beautiful walk up the Crawford Path. Once near the summit, it was VERY windy and there were large snowdrifts across the trail. Once we got to the sign for the path up Pierce, it was very difficult to find any trail. We made it near the top and then turned back.

We were hoping to do the loop over the top of Pierce to Mizpah Springs hut, but it was impossible to find any trail and had no interest in getting lost in the crazy windy and cold conditions. Back down the Crawford path we went. We passed 4 hikers coming up on our way down. 2 in snowshoes and 2 in boots. Definitely a good day to be in snowshoes. 2.5- 3 hours up, 1 hour down.
