Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking lot was not plowed when I started, nor when I finished around 1PM. I parked .4 miles up Hurricane Mtn Road near the Cranmore access road - limited spots available.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There were a couple minor blowdowns across the trail but nothing major. One thing of note: as usually happens in winter, snow/ice has drifted into the doorway of the tower and prevents the door from closing. I got it to stick, but wind will likely blow it open again :-(

Comments
Comments: 6-10 inches of new snow yesterday/last night. I was the only one on the trail this morning; laid down a snowshoe track but a lot of my work was erased by the winds today by the time I was descending. Snowshoes will likely be advisable for a few days.

As noted above, parking was an issue. I think the small lot at the trailhead usually gets plowed (eventually) but hadn't been by early afternoon today. The walk along Hurricane Mountain road to alternate parking was short and pleasant.
