A huge congratulations to Summerset B. for finishing her GRID today on Galehead! She was joined today by a strong group that included her husband, friends, and several other grid finishers. Ed Hawkins swooped down from the Twins to present the patch at the hut after we had summited. Trails were in excellent shape, firm with just a dusting of fresh powder. Snowshoes ideal above the viewpoint at the river before the steeps begin, and the snow is loose up high especially. New snow is moving in so snowshoes still the way to go to preserve the nice track that has been established. |
