| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Lot is not plowed but snow is packed down. There's room for about 10 cars, but it might be tricky without snow tires/4WD. My CR-V with snow tires had no problems at all. |

Just two blowdowns that were easily ducked under. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Lucy did really well with this one although it was a little longer than our usual outings. The trail was well packed which made it really easy for her the whole way. We saw two other dogs that were both off leash under pretty good voice control. Yay for responsible owners! |

| Comments: |
It was a gorgeous day for a hike although the summits were both socked in. There were a bunch of people out for the long weekend, but most came up from Lonesome Lake. The temps rose into the 20s midday leading to some sticky snow at lower elevations on the way down (ie. snowballs in the spikes), but otherwise the conditions were great. Wish the clouds would have lifted for some views of Franconia Ridge, but I'd take socked in over gusting winds any day. We had such a great time in the snow and our full trip report is below! Happy hiking! |
