First one up in the morning. I wore snowshoes car to car.
The trail was beautiful first thing (many thanks to yesterday's groups!). Once gaining the ridge, there were several drifted spots, often the trail was completely filled in. Only minor drifting between North & Middle peak.
Started seeing folks headed up when I started down. The first several groups were all wearing snowshoes, however the bareboot parade was close behind. The trail was torn to shreds on my way down the steeps. I slipped a few times, once into a 50 foot slide on my rear. Good times.
No views when I was up there- everything was socked in, however on my drive out things looked clearer, so maybe some views were to be had for the later hikers. |
