One blowdown at the end of the last switchback but a packed trail bypasses it |

Zealand road had a firm track and we bare-booted to the trailhead. Three of us switched to snowshoes at the base of Hale Brook Trail and one of us bare-booted until the side slope. The side slope was much looser and narrow enough that there wasn't much room for a firm footing with the downhill snowshoe but overall the trail is in great shape. |
