 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The main parking lot is completely snowed in but there is a smaller plowed area closer to the Kanakamagus Highway with room for a few cars, visible from the road. For the skittish, park at the Downes Brook trailhead and take the ski trails over. |

Passaconaway cutoff
Most of the ski trail loop has a clear snowshoe track next to the ski track, with only a few shared stretches. The lower portion of the Oliverian Brook Trail and the entire Passaconaway Cutoff Trail are now thoroughly broken out with not much in the way of difficult or dangerous places. The part of the Oliverian Brook Trail south of the intersection showed some snowshoe prints but was not really broken out. At least as far as the Cutoff-Stone Ledge Trail intersection, Mt. Passaconaway is accessible from the north. People avoiding the crowds at Ferncroft should consider. |
