Amazing freaking day in the Whites. I opted for snowshoes until I was about a mile from the trailhead on the way down and switched to bare boots. Partner wore snowshoes up and spikes down. Saw lots in spikes the whole way. Trail is well packed. I just hate the toe slide effect in powder, so preferred my snowshoes. Bald Peak is also totally worth a visit. I'd never done it before. Gorgeous! |
